This Mother's Heart
At times, this mother would like to hold her babies in her arms, protect them from the world, comfort them in their fears, nurture them just a little more. The time does come, and most definitely came a long time ago, to let go...to put those "babies" in the hands of God. It's a hard thing to remember sometimes. It's a compulsion that does not die easily to want to jump to the rescue, solve the problems, smooth the troubled waters. If I could, I might...I used to say I would...but the lessons of life must come and we all know those come by having the freedom to live, experience, venture out, and yes, even the freedom to fail.
It's near impossible for me to believe the days have flown by so fast and how it feels like precious little time I have had with my youngest since he became a United States Marine. He is currently stationed in Hawaii, he's a "K-Bay" Marine, and I miss him tremendously.
Words fail, so I share something I made from my heart, my great big giant Mommy heart - "Always ALWAYS".
Trusting the ONE Who gave me this child-now-a-man...
